Just finishing up a weekend in Ottawa for the Cascade Step Down contest with Top Crew. Thanks to Mike and the park crew for the hard work, Adam, Eric and Sam for making things happen, the Vans crew for gts all day, Skelhorn, Hesson and Beav for non-stop screw turnin and la Curd for lurkin. After being awake travelling for over 35 hours we descended upon Turkey and made the most of a down day. We rolled into Istanbul and soaked in some culture before leaving on our first mission to the Palandonken resort in Erzurum tomorrow morning. Tourism Turkey had it dialed for us. 50 people waiting for cabs and these vans... (more)

Like many purist snowboarders, I haven't traditionally been very supportive of snowboard racing. But considering this is the Olympics, and Canada had three strong contenders racing today (Michael Lambert, Matthew Morison and Jasey-Jay Anderson), I thought I'd take one final trek up to Cypress Mountain to cheer our boys... With a medals plaza, ski, bobsled, and Nordic events to name a few Whistler is a must during the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. You can catch a medal ceremony right in the village followed by a live band, bump into the likes of Louie Vito and Damian Marley at Sushi Village, get some fresh powder and watch Police officers in full gear... I can barely believe it: somehow, some way, the past two weeks have blazed by. And here we are, just a few days from the conclusion of the 2010 Olympic Games. In what's become an outright haze of blog posts and daily scrambles from event to event, it's hard to recall what time it is, let alone what day it might happen... (more)

Zion Snowboards. To many of you, that name doesn't ring any bells and some of you have heard of Zion.
