Halloween at Norquay ski resort.
Posted On Nov 02 2009, 08:18 PM by Spencer Francey

Banff's Norquay ski resort opened for riding on Halloween.  This makes it the first resort to open in the Bow Valley.  It has been snowing on and off in the Banff area with the higher peaks looking whiter by the day.  The resort managed to make enough snow to cover a nice strip on the lower part of the mountain.  Locals swarmed the area to ride before heading down to Banff for what some people call... "The best place to be for Halloween in Canada"

Jack-o-shred

White strip...

Halloween half run...

Good turn out for the one run....

They even had a couple rails set up.

Norquay is open on weekends until the grand opening on December 4th, 2009.  For more info about the resort click here  NORQUAY
