Last Friday Sandbox held their second last premiere for Shine On in Whistler. Putting on more than just movie, they showed at the Millenium Theatre alongside a helmet artshow featuring custom art on Sandbox Brain Buckets (Check out close-ups of Kowalchuk's buckets here). The party moved to Garf's where the expected debauchery went down. Check the photos in our gallery for some proof (but not all). Read on for Kevin Sansalone's take on the night.

The last premiere will take place high atop Mt. Seymour this Saturday. Check back tomorrow for details.
From Kevin Sansalone:
This past Friday, November 27th, we had our hometown Sandbox Shine On premiere in Whistler BC. We sold out the Millennium Place theatre to a very loud local crowd. We love showing the film in Whistler because all the riders get to come out and everyone really cheers for the locals. We had a great turnout, tons of prizes and cheap cheap beer from Whistler Beer at the theatre.
Darren Camplin, Mark Kowalchuk and Dwayne Wiebe painted up some custom Sandbox Brain Bucket helmets for a really cool art show in the Millennium Place lobby. Mellissa Lawrence put the whole thing together and came up with the rustic picture frame idea to showcase the helmets as art pieces. Everyone loved the custom work and the helmets were sold for $150 with all proceeds going to head injury care. There are still many of these custom helmets available so if you want one contact store@sandboxland.com to get your hands on one of these hand painted babies. We'll have pictures up on the site soon.
After the show we all headed over Garfinkels for a really fun after party. 200 sponsored Whistler Beers and plenty of cheap shots got the crowd out of control. Memorable moments were dancing on the bar pouring champagne into peoples mouths and Clayton standing on the bar spraying everyone with beer.
Special thanks to the Garf's staff, Millennium Place staff, Whistler Beer, K2 Snowboarding, Showcase Shop, DC, Nike 6.0, The Circle and everyone who came out to support the local crew and riders.
