Lenny brings us his first report from the TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival, and it's not even part of the festival. Gnarcore held their own contest, pre-Grenade Games, to get everyone excited for the carnage to come. Take it away Lenny:
To get everyone going for the Grenade Games, Gnarcore.com,
Westbeach, Red Bull and some other peeps brought a bunch people together at Kadenwood for the first annual Art Barn Open. The format was S-K-A-T-E, but B-E-E-F was the word of choice.

The setup was simple: a piece of corrugated pipe, 140 or so people and good times. Shake, stir, and serve over a snow patch.

Dave Rouleau was on the mic...

...while Gerhard Gross struck out letters for non legit
tricks.

Jody Wachinak was pressured into a switch backlip and
successfully popped his cherry

P-nut answered back while smoking...he decided to take a
break from riding with his brews.

Brocklebank led a trick with a noseslide stalefish, and Frank Boucher (here) was one of the few who was able to put it down.

Loosh was entertaining with his tricks and bails. He took a
few hard ones and kept on givin' 'er. He ate it on this one.

Ontario's Scot Brown took home $100. Bs 270.

Ben Bilocq knows his way around a good game of BEEF.

Brocklebank did manny into noseslide 270 outs all day.

Westbeach, ensuring the roots are embraced.

2 left standing: Jake Kuzyk (right) faces off with Ben Bilocq.

Jake ended up knocking out Ben with an assault of technical
presses.
