Not long ago Ripper Skateboards cruised around BC with a simple concept in mind: night skate sessions in the West Coast's best parks and in the streets with a generator and lights. Here is the recap in their own words.
Day 1
It all started in Vancouver picking up Jesse Taylor our photographer and then we headed to our
first stop of the Ripper Night Shredders events: Nanaimo.
The event concept is simple, night skate session at the park and in the streets
with a generator and a set of lights.

After a two hour ferry ride and a 75$ fee, we finally got to Nanaimo and
met with the Alternative Groove's team riders and a bunch of hyped skaters waiting for us to make it happen.
A game of skate and two best tricks went down. Some locals were killing it hard
on the big rail and a huge 3-flip over the bench sealed the deal. More then 50
kids showed up at the park and we ended out at a chill street spot with a few
beers.
Day 2
After our first stop we were super stoked and ready to hit the road to Duncan for our second stop with Bill and Ted's Boardshop crew. This time we arrived a bit earlier and
saw this kid ripping it, Jordan Mcinnis (huge fs flip in the quarter pipe and a kickflip nose grab on the bowl
transfer!?!) From 4 till 9 pm, this kid was pushing hard and got every one
motivated even though it was a relaxing Sunday night. We had a few best tricks,
a game of skate and a BBQ going on.

Also, the boys from Bill and Teds got people to try out Tarp Surfing... good time and super chill vibe all day. The only bummer was that I
forgot my f***ing board at the park and it got stolen... but it's all good, I got
a few! We ended up filming with Jordan, Grahm and Luke at a 10 set in town, good stuff went down fast!

Day 3
Our man, Curtis Matthias from the Switch Boardshop hooked me up with a new set up and showed us around his new home city.
I must admit, Victoria is a
super nice city with a lot of good looking girls! The Island definitely has a
good vibe going on! Since the shop is located a bit outside of Victoria, we
decided to get the event at the Langford park, which is a shredders park... A lot
of speed, good quarter pipes and transitions, one big gap but not much of a
tech section. It's a good park for everyone...check out OG Mike with his casual
Milf Magic shirt if you ever pass by!

When we started the BBQ and got the generator started, kids were flying
everywhere... it was gnarly! The boys from Duncan drove to the event and Graham
won the first best trick with a massive kick flip over the tranny. Elijah was killing it all night and won 20$ on the rail
best trick with a proper back smith. After the session we ended up with Mike
Zabloski, who rides for Switch and went to shoot photos in the streets, we
went to this 9 foot crate box...but after a few tries, a bloody hand, and a body
that was feeling like shit we decided to go shred Vic West park with the generator and I got this casual fs
transfer, just a lot of fun.
Day 4
Going all the way from Victoria to Abbotsford, we finally got to Replay Boardshop and met with Mitch Kittell. The Abbotsford skatepark is awesome, really
diverse and there are always some locals hanging around all day! We kicked off
the event with a casual game of skate and then took the younger boys to a best
trick on the small rail. When we turned on the generator and the lights,
everyone gathered for some serious shredding. More then 120 people showed up. There was definitely a great vibe all night.
When the half cab feeble, the late shuv and the nollie bs heel went down, everyone
got crazy and that was it!
