When all the drink tickets are gone, the prizes have been handed out, and the headliners have moved on to the next tour stop, all you can do is look back on a damn good time and be glad you were there.
And that's the best way to look back on The Push Payout: A fun-as-hell Friday night spent with good friends, plenty of drinks, and lots of entertainment.

Jeremy Chambers opened the show.
The night started out with a warm-up set from Red Bull Three-Style DJ Connor Cuts, and a quick warm-up on the mini street course built by The Bait Shop. After a welcome from Push.ca's Matt Houghton and TLG's Brad Hainschwang, local MC Jeremy Chambers threw down a tight opening set, and then the first round of the Push Payout skate contest began. With local Toronto shops represented both at the blackjack table and on the street course, everyone got in their first runs and their first bets at the table. Jeremy's brother and DJ, Jason Chambers, came up next with a DJ set that inspired a pretty legit dance circle in front of the stage, and then it was on to the final round of the Push Payout.

The judges, always judging...and texting.

The course was...tight.
With co-announcing and judging from the TLG crew (a.k.a.: The Lovely Gentlemen), the semi-organized chaos of round two resulted in big bets at the table, and solid efforts from the skaters to land tricks on the tight course with minimal practice. In the end, the Hammer shop team bet big and team rider Dan Arget pulled through: Hammer not only won the contest, but Arget also won best trick! Hammer took home a plush blackjack table and sweet chip set, plus a free ad campaign on Push.ca. And thanks to Arget's efforts, Hammer also won a free ad in Kingshit magazine, and Arget pocketed $200 cash.

All hands where I can see them.
From there, it was time for everyone to hit the bar and get psyched for The Beatnuts. MC's Ju Ju and Psycho Les took the stage, and unleashed a bangin' set of classic hip-hop. Judging from the lovely ladies they invited on stage, and the rapidly emptying bottle of Hennessey they passed around, they had just as much fun as the crowd did. This was The Beatnuts only Toronto stop on their 20th Anniversary tour, and trust us when they did not disappoint the crowd in the slightest.

The night wrapped up with another set from DJ Connor Cuts, and the faithful remained to keep partying until last call. Thanks to everyone who came out to join us, and special thanks to Red Bull, Kingshit, the TLG, Lyndsey Westfall, The Baitshop, Hammer and all of the Toronto shops and skaters who entered the contest, The Beatnuts, Jeremy and Jason Chambers, DJ Connor Cuts, and photographer Owen Roth.
