Growing up in Markham, Ontario, Mikey made the big move out west to "live the dream" via his semi-professional snowboard career. Eventually the mind outlasted the body and his focus shifted to getting an education and a "real job" in the action sport industry. I’ll be honest: I can barely remember the first time I went to Las Vegas. Growing up skating in a small town is a cool thing to experience. I mean, you've got your local skate spots, your local skate crews, and your local skate shop. Writing intros for interviews isn't always the best way to get someone stoked on what they're about to read. It's usually some sort of testimony about how good the person is at skating, or a funny, inside story that only a few people will get.
