Simon was the first Canadian to be invited to film with the People Creative crew back in the 2008 season and this year he’s back with the film crew alongside Stepchild riders JP Walker and Joe Sexton. With a medals plaza, ski, bobsled, and Nordic events to name a few Whistler is a must during the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. You can catch a medal ceremony right in the village followed by a live band, bump into the likes of Louie Vito and Damian Marley at Sushi Village, get some fresh powder and watch Police officers in full gear... What would a snowboard event be without a party? THe Olympics is no different as all the major brands, athletes, photographers, and magazines gather in Vancouver there is a party to go to every night with a virtual who's who of Snowboarding as brands hype up their riders, product and one theme that seems to be consistent... I was hoping to stay in my little bubble and avoid all the hype and crowds of the Olympics but there is NO WAY to avoid it from my gym parking lot being closed for VANOC buses to the corporate branding everywhere you look. With all the events in and around Utah from the Dew Tour, Sundance, Grand Prix, and SIA just next door in Denver I’ve been posted up in SLC for a few weeks.
