When contest time rolls around, you're more likely to find me at the bottom with a beer in my hand but for the first festival in years I was shooting photos all week long. The Grenade Games seem to bring out the best (worst?) in so many and the amount of pure love I saw for our fair sport of snowboarding in the past week... (more)

When you get as lucky as we did up here, it's a little hard to remember all the worries and tales of bad weather we'd heard so much about. For years, I've heard of crew after crew coming up to Alaska for weeks only to get skunked by bad weather. In fact, just before we left on this trip a good photographer friend... (more)

After a few challenging days we woke up to cracking blue skies and endless possibilities. It might just be me but it really seems like it's just straight up harder to do anything up in AK. I don't know if it's something in the air or the weight of the legends who've come before us pressing down on our shoulders but, yeah, can I just get a break here?!
