BLVD Skateshop and Supra Distribution teamed up for the second annual Battle At Hastings contest in Vancouver on Saturday, September 3rd (check out Push.ca’s exclusive highlight reel from last year’s battle). End of summer fever was clearly in full swing for all the dudes skating the world-famous Hastings bowl, and the spectators were far from silent…
Here are a few iPhone snaps from the day:

After a third place finish at The Kensington Contest on Aug.20th, Rob “Sluggo” Boyce was ready for more at his home park, with his paint job still intact. Sluggs is doing some of his best skateboarding at 42-years-old with no sign of letting up. Here he is showing me his latest Skull Skates model.

Yes, I found the Tilt Shift Generator app. Fake photography at its finest. The Supra Dist. crew brought out the Chocolate box they built for Go Skate Day this year, and some epic tricks went down on the makeshift extension. Chris Connolly worked this edger roll-in to the sounds of “Brave Captain” by Firehose.

Deep-end graffiti honourable mention: “Hail Sk8an,” says the park shark.

Calgary's Riley Boland won last year’s Battle, and was boosting smooth frontside airs all day.

Riley goes for maximum portrait photo incentive while Connolly offers a dirty thumb.

One of my favourite transitional shredders to watch is Danny Hagge, who’s been killing it all summer. The Tilt Shift Generator strikes again on this nosepick pic.

Supra Dist. sales and marketing manager Kevin McCoubrey gave me a sneak peek at the list of winners and loot breakdown…

Adam Hopkins, Cameo Wilson and Rob Boyce flash their stacks. Sluggo, being the class act that he is, shared his first place winnings with his fellow contestants.
