You never know when it's coming, but you've always got to be ready for it when it does. Jesse Fulton drops another Shreducation update on us, complete with video. Read on to find out about how Harrison Gray is coming back after his injury-riddled season last year.
"Ya, ya, ya. We know we're late on this vid but holidays are hectic. Shreducation rolls Colorado every early season to get their feet underneath them and get a head start on the season. Heres a vid for your viewing pleasure:
One of the highlights is Harrison Gray. Most people don't know this but Harrison blew out his left knee in Colorado last season at the Grand Prix, being the youngest rider to attempt a double cork in the pipe. After a swift recovery he was back on his board. He then came out to Vancouver during the Olympics for the grand opening of Seymour's Nike 6.0 Greatest Hits park latest feature. During this time he was filming for his FUEL TV New Pollution episode and accidentally fell off a 25 foot cliff and put his knee into his face. This caused Harry to fracture his eye socket, his jaw and other bones in his face. With the fall he also blew out his other knee. Harry was found face down in the snow, unconscious and barely breathing. He was rushed to Lionsgate hospital and three days later was escorted by Fulton back to Toronto. Luckily Jesse was there coaching the Olympics and had no problem missing the closing ceremonies to wheel a broken rider through the airport and back home.
The doctors were clear that Harry had severed his ACL but when they cut him open for surgery to their surprise they saw that the ACL was healing itself. This is a very uncommon occurrence and there are only a few on record.
With some training and physio Harry was back and this video has Harrys first few days back on snow.
Injuries happen. Little super humans like Harry throw front 1080 tails after they heal.
Enjoy, and nice to see Harry back on snow and heading to the World Championships this week."
