Although only 16 years of age, Will Marshall come across as a seasoned vet; not one of those rowdy young groms that just doesn't know when to chill. For good reason too, as he's already been up in the mix for several years now, whether earning contest results (both at the Tampa AM and the Volcom Damn Am in Cali), chilling in NYC with the DC team, or getting consistent media coverage in TWS, Concrete, and SBC.
It's hard to mention Will without talking about his father, the "number one skate dad nominee" Pauly. A true character in his own right, he's been supporting not just Will but skateboarding in general since day one, by driving Will and his skate crew all over North America for contests and shoots, and sending out bottles of Canadian sauce to his supporters every Christmas (thanks again, Pauly). These are just a few of his regular duties that he seems to genuinely enjoy.
Will is taking his chilling world-wide over the next few months to get away from the ice storms of Ontario. He took a few minutes out of his busy Barcelona skate schedule to answer some questions about being in Spain for the first time.

Where you at, Will? What's going on?
I'm in Barcelona right now, basically just out here to get away from winter.
Who are you skating with?
I'm splitting on an apartment with my friends Morgan, Pat, Maj, Mortal, Oskar, and Huckendorff.

Barcelona is a Mecca. Have you fanned out on any pros over there, or run into many other Canadians skating?
We've seen some good dudes around, but we didn't fan out. Yeah, there's a bunch of people out here from Canada right now; it was definitely a good idea coming at this time of year.
Have you made your mark on any well-known spots?
Nope. [laughs] We still have enough time here, though.
How do the skate spots compare to the ones in Canada?
The ones out here [in Barcelona] are a lot more perfect, and less of a bust, which is dope.
How do the girls in Barcelona compare to the ones in Toronto?
Don't matter... girls are awesome.

I've heard you have a busy schedule coming up. What other spots have you been to this winter, and how are your next few months breaking down?
I went to California and Tampa so far this winter, but I'm in Barcelona right now and going to Atlanta in March; I'm really stoked for ATL.
What's it like traveling the world at such a young age with no parents?
You have more responsibilities when they're not around, but it's obviously worth it. It doesn't mean I don't miss them when I'm gone, but it's always nice to get a break from them.
What's your school program like? How do you miss so much class?
I just go to a normal high school and somehow pass. I'm not sure if I'm going this semester, but if not I'll just get some online courses.
What's been going on other than skating?
Normal stuff you do with your friends at night. [laughs]
Anything else you want to add?
Just thanks to anyone who's ever helped me out.
